September 1: Season Over
We were hopeful the motor
would be completed before the end of race season, but
our hopes have been extinguished. Thank you for
all of your support for this race season and we hope to
see you next year at the track.
August 23: No Racing continues.
We continue to wait

it will be done this week.
June 27: No Racing this weekend.
We're sorry to inform you
that we won't be racing this weekend. We have a
lack of horsepower in the car. We're hopeful the
horse will return this week.
June 20: Knoxville Again
Off to Knoxville for the ASCS
National Tour with Midwest Tour having the first point
night for the season. Racing looked promising when
a low number pill was drawn assuring a front row
starting spot. Larry Pinegar strapped in and hot
lapped the car in his usual Knoxville style, really
good. A few adjustments were made to the car and
Larry pushed off for the heat race. Starting on
the outside front row, Larry pushed the accelerator
coming out of turn 4 and things didn't start well.
Finally when he crossed the start line a small puff of
smoke appeared and he slowed into turn 1. The push
vehicle brought him back to the pits and things were
terminal. The motor was damaged and not repairable
and no other motor available this ended another night of
racing at the famed Knoxville half-mile. We'll see
what the motor builder says and we'll make it back to
the track as soon as possible.
June 14: Racing with the Outlaws
Larry Pinegar couldn't make
it to Eagle this evening so the car owner Doug Lovegrove
stepped into the car to give it a whirl. Doug
drove outstanding this evening posting a 13th fastest in
hot laps and qualifying 23rd for the evening events.
Doug held his line all night in his heat race and the B
feature. Doug almost qualified for the A feature,
missing the transfer by two position.
June 13: Back row challenge.
Larry Pinegar was strapped in
looking to add another win to his list. After
transferring to the A from the heat race he worked at
moving forward through the A feature. The race was
going as expected until another competitor connected
with Larry taking out the front end of the 44 car.
Without the needed extended caution flag, repairs were
not made to the car in time to continue the race.
June 7: Another good night!
Larry Pinegar drove another great
race for Lovegrove racing.
Larry started the night second row outside for the heat
race. When
the green flag dropped he was off, driving his way
quickly to first and taking the checkers. With the win Larry made the
invert giving him a tenth place start in the feature.
In the feature, Larry picked his way forward and was
running fourth with ten to go, when a caution came out.
Lap traffic was put in front of him and he quickly
cleared it and the third place car on the restart.
However he ran out of time to catch the front runners,
and ended up third at the finish.
May 31: Back to Racing
Mother nature finally said
let there be racing, and what a good night for Lovegrove
racing. Larry Pinegar ended up with the pole for the heat
race, so when the green flag dropped he was off, running
first from green to checkers. With the win Larry
made the invert giving him a third place start in the
feature. By the time the the A Feature ran, the
track became a rutted mess, especially in the corners.
Call it Mother nature's revenge. Larry quickly
found second place and started to reel in the leader.
It helped when they found traffic, but a caution came
out so he had to try again. Back in
the hunt he continued to looking for a line to take the
lead. Suddenly the 53 car passed by, but Larry
kept looking for the next position. Another late
race caution bunched up the field and Larry had to fight
off another competitor from the restart. This
allowed the first and second place cars to open up a gap
that Larry couldn't close before the checkers flew.
May 24: Rainout again
Mother nature continues to plague
eastern Nebraska with rain. Hopefully next week
will be dry and racing will continue. See you
then!
May 23:
Rainout tonight
From dirtdrivers.com:
"Disappointed..Yes.
Surprised..No. Rain in the past 10 hours and the
forecast for more, have forced JMS Promoter Delmar
Friesen to cancel tonights ASCS/GOTRA/OVLRS Open Wheel
show. All three groups will return as scheduled on
Friday-June 27th. At this time, the race scheduled for
tonight will not be re-scheduled.
"
May 17: Great Start
The night started with a decent
draw for the opening night. Larry Pinegar started 5th in
the heat race and by the midway point in the race, he
had worked his way to third when the caution flag flew.
On the restart, Larry didn't waste any time and quickly
found his way to the point and crossed the line with the
win. Since it was opening night, we redrew for the
feature starting position, we drew six. There were
several restarts for cars with other problems, and Larry
avoided them. On the third restart, Larry drove
into turn one and the front left wheel came off the axle
due to a parts failure. Larry hung onto the car
and drove it around the track to the front stretch
before coming to a stop. This week we'll double
check the car and be ready to race at McCool with the
ASCS Midwest Series. We hope to see you there!
May 11:
Rainout....again.
Mother Nature was not cooperative
again this weekend. We'll see if she will bless us
with racing next weekend. Hope we see you next
weekend!
May 3:
Quick Change in Race Venue
With Eagle having a
rainout, the team made a quick decision and went to
Knoxville to race. The night started with a low
pill draw. This put Larry Pinegar with a second row
starting position. However coming down the front
stretch taking the green, something went wrong in the
engine. Larry was pushed back to the pit having to
retire for the evening. The motor was left with
the builder on Sunday and looks like we will have it
back for next weekend.
April 7: Good to worse.
Sunday afternoon brought
another really dry track. We set the car and moved
forward in the heat to finish fourth. After several hours Larry
Pinegar entered the car
to start the A. A few buzz laps and coming out of turn four, chaos
ensued. Someone in front of Larry didn't takeoff, other cars took were
held up and Larry didn't have anywhere to go. The car ended upside
down on the top wing. Larry was fine, however the car had some broken
parts. It looks like the car will be re-assembled in time for this
weekend to race at I-80. See you there!
April 5: Good start to the season!
After spending the early
afternoon at Autograph
Day, we moved to the track. Saturday night brought
a really dry track. We set the car and after many restarts in the
heat, Larry drove the car to a third place finish. With the transfer
locked in, we set the car for Larry Pinegar to start in the 11th position.
There was little change in the track and it continued to challenge everyone.
After several cautions, the race moved quickly. Larry lost a few
positions before the final caution, but raced hard and crossed the line in
8th. We look to improve this on Sunday. Remember the races start
at 3:00 and we hope to see you there!
April 5: Ready for the weekend,
